The Article I read about was how the new feature on Facebook, called Timeline, which now lets you sort out your big life events, such as buying a car, a house, a new relationship, vacations, and many other things. It is also kept as s sort of "Permanent Record" for other people to see. Many people use this for background checks, interviewing for jobs, babysitting, and just finding out if you can trust the person you are researching.
I believe that Facebook itself will one day become one big permanent record of our daily lives. It will save so much more time creating documents, case files, etc. It will help the Police find criminals faster, and help make people safer.
What surprised me the most, was that Timeline can make this possible.
Back in 2009, people were ecstatic about the development of personal software that can "do" something instead of find something. The program is called Siri. It is now embedded into all Apple devices. Google also has Google Glass, which does the same thing in their devices.

Online Experience A Reflection
Technology is important because it is used in our lives daily. We use it to cook, to teach, to build, to invent new things, and to save our lives. Over the last 5 years, Technology has changed from just small keyboard phones and bulky computers with Internet that screams and groans, to some of the greatest devices known to man. Phones have become personal computers, and touchscreen tablets have become the new gaming consoles of our generation. We are close to Holographic technology, which allows us to see certain objects without using 3D glasses, and is also safe to touch. Technology is going to spring forward in the next five years, starting with Google's Smart Glass. It's really a smart phone, but it is now on your head. It will become your GPS, your Phone, and your Social Networking device.
I usually use my computer for schoolwork. I like to use my phone for everything else.
I will probably use the tools I've learned to use in Online A to create a Youtube channel. I can become a partner of Youtube and I can get paid to post gaming videos, livestream, and have a job elsewhere. Who wouldn't want this job?
The tool that is that is the most practical for lifelong learning can be Facebook and Blogger. You can use these to post assignments up and have your teachers see them. That way, we save trees! (See what I did there? Hehe...)
I believe Flickr was my favorite tool to create because of the simplicity of adding and seeing photos. My least favorite was MyPlick because it took WAY too long to process audio. On top of that, it took an hour to upload the slideshow itself. It was awful.
